Abstract: The management efficiency of China’s banks from the geospatial analysis is almost none in literature because the financial information is rarely disclosed and inconsistent in mainland China so far. The Agriculture Bank of China is one of China’s largest banks and release its financial data the most complete among all China’s banks, This paper fills the gap by investigating performances of the Agriculture Bank of China with its spatial patterns and geographical distribution of loans and deposits applying Moran’s I and LISA from 1992 to 2008. Empirical evidence shows that branches in the Yangtze and Pearl River Delta performed better than those in other regions. Furthermore, the territorial attribution reflects the different levels of economic development, but more importantly that the management efficiency can be poor both in coastal and inland regions.
