Abstract:
The main research objective is to investigate the impact of business model (BM) on management performance from the listed non-electronic companies in Taiwan's primary stock market. It defines five business models, Type i (International marketing brand BM), Type ii (OEM/ODM/EMS BM), Type iii (Domestic market BM), Type iv (Mixed BM), Type v (Niche and innovation BM). It also takes Revenue compound annual growth rate and Income after tax compound annual growth rate as operational definitions of management performance. The research uses secondary data analysis and questionnaire survey as databases. The research results are find out the distribution pattern of each type of business models in the market; the association of business model and management performance is certain; experts interviewed almost agree the two hypotheses below be accepted. Type v (Niche and innovation BM) is the most suitable business model for Taiwan economy (or industrial structure) in the near future; the performance of the Type iv (Mixed BM) is worse than the pure type.
