Abstract:	隨著期刊訂費高漲引發學術傳播(scholarly communication) 危機，學術教育界倡導開放取用(Open Access, OA)，採取金科玉律/綠(gold and green road) 雙重策略，即開放取用期刊(Open Access Journal, OAJ)與機構典藏(Institutional Repositories, IRs)，試圖走出困境。高漲的期刊訂費迫使圖書館壓縮圖書的採購，優先購置期刊，此現象以期刊展現研究成果的科學、技術與醫學(Scientific, Technical, and Medical, STM)等學科領域至為顯著。人文及社會科學(Humanities and Social Sciences, HSS)的學術研究成果向來著重於專著的出版，近年來，學術專著也因為出版成本的高漲與期刊危機產生的排擠效應，引發所謂的專著危機(monograph crisis)。本文旨在探討此危機下各界仿傚 OAJ 推出的開放取用圖書(Open Access Books, OAB)，範圍涵蓋 OAB的興起背景、現況發展與相關議題等，希冀能對 OAB 有一梗概認識，進而對學術傳播的實務問題有所因應，如：圖書的出版模式與銷售策略、圖書館與其聯盟對 OAB 的運作與管理方式。
