Abstract: This paper attempts to give a detailed exposition and a critical examination of Soren Kierk~gaard's Thinking in his Concluding Unscientific Postscript.
Section one deals with t~.e main idea of the above -l!lentioned book. ,
Section two deals with K~erkegaard's basic existential position.
Section three deals with Kierkegaard's vivid operation of theexistential-dialectical method and his critique of his contemporary thoughts.
Section four expounds and clarifies the essential content of Kierkegaard's concept of Thinking.
Some critical remarks are contained within the conclusion.
Kierkegaard's existential thinking makes a great influence on his later existential philosophy. Though his effort is obvious and convincing, the problem he has to face with always remains. That is, he fails to offer a practical and successful prescription for his successor to adjust the scientific environment. Nevertheless, his existential thinking is suggestive and operative.
