數位圖書館已是全球圖書館界努力達成的共同目標，在實質內涵中，電子期刊是其中極為重要的一環。長久以來，期刊在學術研究上一直占有重要地位，原因無他，在於期刊提供最新的研究動態、促進學術交流，以及學術認證供研究人員升等與續任之用。然而，隨著電子期刊的出現與應用，原本圖書館建立紙本期刊的既有典範是否產生異動、是否仍適用於電子期刊、是否引發新式經營典範等問題是本文的研究動機。本文共分為新式典範崛起的主因、電子期刊的經營策略現況剖析、新舊典範運作的對立衝突、個案研究的研析與發現，以及新式典範經營策略觀念的建立與內涵進行新舊期刊經營典範的探討。 Inevitably the digital library is a trend in the library field and the electronic journal is one of important contents for digital library framework. Traditionally, journal is the key information resource for researcher because it offers the current trend, promotes the scholarly communication, as well as proving the scholarly credit for tenure and promotion. With the advance of electronic journals' advancement, the current management paradigm based on paper journals is challenged and become a key issue for libraries to solve. The purpose of this paper is to argue whether the paper journals' paradigm is still applicable for electronic journals. This paper is divided into four topics to discuss the paradigm transition of journal management from paper to electronic form: causes of new management paradigm springs out, contradictory principles between paper and electronic journals, analysis and findings of the case studies, and new concepts for the electronic journals' paradigm as conclusion.
