    Abstract: The vanadyl ion (VO)2+ traditionally has played an important role as a spin probe for the characterization of metal binding sites in biol. systems. More recently, it has been shown to display insulin-enhancing properties for type II diabetic patients. There have been many vanadyl complexes characterized with N and O coordination; however few N/S donor environments have been well-characterized.
