Abstract: Chen and Wang: Since 2000, our educational system has undergone a series of reforms: deregulation of control of some schools by the central government; curricular revisions in grades 1-9; better alignment of the curricula between elementary and middle schools; implementation of school-based curricular changes; more emphasis placed on team teaching; and assessment of students through ability-based performance. Chen and Wang: in the future, we will continue working with the Greateach and lnnoschool Contest because these are wonderful opportunities to recruit new members to our KDP chapter. Because KDP is an elite organization, only outstanding students and educators are eligible to join and, in our opinion, the winners of the lnnoschool Contest are terrific prospective members.
