摘要: To produce environment-friendly products with environment-conscious production processes and materials are the current worldwide trend. Such environmental appeals are extremely important for the manufacturers in China who supply big volumes of products to the world. If the production processes and the exhausted products are not properly handled, it will seriously jeopardize the environments we live. To achieve these environmental goals effectively, the processes have to start from the first beginning of production, i.e. from the new product development phase through the sound collaboration of the supply chain. To engineers, it is a big mindset change in culture that needs to be gapped with cultural elements. This paper suggests the use of the three dominant thoughts in China as the key cultural elements to bridge the gap. How the main themes of the three thoughts address the issues of the supply chain collaboration during new product development phase is analyzed.
