    摘要: Based on the variables within the model"environment-motivation-strategy-performance", this research conducts an empirical study from the perspective of comparison management of the 112 Taiwan companies investing in the Malaysia. Some important findings include: (1) most of the Taiwan companies in Malaysia are small business (capital is below NT100 million & number of employee is below 200) , (2) the two strategies adopted most in the manufacturing industry are the development of new markets and market penetration; and the two major strategies adopted in the service sector are the development of new markets and diversification, (3) the industrial environment in the Malaysia is the primary incentive of Taiwan companies, (4) the perceptual and the expected performances are about the same, and no significant difference existed in the perceptual performance between the manufacturing and service industries, (5) the perceptual performance is higher for the companies taking the strategy of new market development, and (6) in the macro environment, the social and stable political environments are more attractive to Taiwan companies, but the technological, cultural and economical environments are relatively weak; in the industrial environment, the low cost of labor, land and raw materials are advantageous, but the capital, quality of labor and information are disadvantages of Malaysia.
