摘要:	本研究利用不平衡縱橫資料、隨機效果模型與邊界參數估計法估計無效率值，並藉以驗證市場力量假說、規模經濟理論及多元經濟理論等。研究建議(1)由於我國壽險業皆處於規模經濟的階段，因此增加產出必定符合效益。(2)壽險商品依然具備聯合特性，因此並不適合專營某一險種。(3)本國新公司應加強業務成本控管，使業務平均成本下降(尤其是針對團體保險部份)，外商公司應敦促政府開放適當的投資標的，以降低投資成本增加經營績效。(4)多元商品時代的來臨，有助於壽險業平均成本降低。(5)由於各公司與各險種之成本彈性與單一產出之平均成本彈性不同，建議業者可以採如合併方式或外包方式，以達到平均成本降低。(6)各業應極力降低其業務之成本彈性及投資成本彈性，相對經營績效必定上升(無效率值下降)。 This study examines the relationship between market power, scale, and efficiency in Taiwan Life Insurance Industry. We use unbalance panel data, random effect models and frontier approach to analysis life insurance company efficiency in Taiwan. We find the market power theory is perfect to insurance management efficiency. The Life Insurance Industry must be jointness in production. Because the jointness in production can down average cost. Life Insurance Industry scales not enough, because elasticity of production cost is not large to one.
