Solid aerosol-derived ZrO/sub 2/ powder was prepared by introducingcitric acid and ethylene glycol into the aqueous solution ofZrO(NO/sub 3/)/sub 2/ and heating the corresponding aerosols at 800.The powder directly obtained from spray pyrolysis still contained someesters. Further heating the powder up to 700 can remove the residualesters. The obtained particles were analyzed using SEM, TEM, FTIR, andXRD.
