    Abstract: 唐末高季昌受命荊南，以毫無憑藉之外地軍人，鎮守此群雄窺伺之戰略要地，欲求內安使府，外禦強鄰，實非易事。面對嚴峻之形勢，季昌與其子從誨卻能以靈活之手腕及周密之思慮，運用關係，掌握時機，見利而進，現弄中原大朝於股掌之上，誠屬國史中罕見之事例。本文即對其縱橫捭闔之術加以分析，期望能獲得歷史之教訓。
