    Abstract: 隨著Web 2.0的風行，各領域也紛紛提出2.0的相關概念或口號，除了Library 2.0外，尚有Government 2.0、Media 2.0、Advertising 2.0、Democracy 2.0、Law 2.0等，目的各有不同。而「2.0」其實與軟體版本更新概念類似，主要強調一種進階或進化的概念。Library 2.0與 Web 2.0二者之間並無絕對關係，那為什麼Library一定要2.0呢？Library 2.0是代表著圖書館的進化亦或是Library with Web 2.0，圖書館面對資訊科技的進步、Google與其他搜尋引擎一連串的挑戰下，勢必要有一個新的轉變，不過就圖書館的歷史與Web2.0 來看，現在的確是Library的新世代(New Generation)但是是否與Web一樣是2.0的世代。就圖書館的歷史而言，Library究竟是到了第幾代，圖書館界又該如何去應對Library新世代的來臨與變化。
