    Abstract: 本研究探討ICT產業對於台灣各工業部門在不同能源別之消費型態分析。使用縱橫資料分析法與穩健迴歸分析法,研究期間為1982到2011年之年資料,以成長率模式分別分析能源、電力、柴油、燃料油以及天然氣等五種消費型態。

    研究結果顯示五種能源別消費型態模型中,在共同解釋變數方面,實質人均GDP、各能源別密集度、消費者物價總指數,以及製造業生產指數之係數多數顯著為正。而在ICT產業影響方面,台灣電子零組件製造業與資訊業之係數多數顯著為正,顯示台灣電子零組件製造業與資訊業的投資增加,將會增加能源消費量;電腦、電子產品及光學製品製造業與電信業之係數多數顯著為負,顯示電腦、電子產品及光學製品製造業與電信業的投資增加,將會減少能源消費量。最後,各能源別之價格變數係數多數顯著為負,表示當工業部門所使用的能源價格上漲時,工業部門將會減少其使用量。

    透過本研究可得,台灣ICT產業確實可有效減少能源消費量,其中,電腦、電子產品及光學製品製造業與電信業產值的增加有助於能源消費的下降,政府可深入了解這些產業對節能減碳的貢獻,促進並發揮其功效。
    This study investigates the effect of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) industry development on the energy consumption of different kinds of industries in Taiwan. Based on the annual data ranging from 1982 to 2011, this study uses panel data and robust analysis to analyze the energy consumption of energy, electricity, diesel, fuel oil and natural gas.

    The empirical results show that all the explanatory variables of real GDP per capita, energy intensity, Consumer Price Index and manufacture index have positive effect on the industrial energy consumption. While, the impacts from those ICT explanatory variables depend on the types of ICT. More of the production value of two types of ICT industries (i.e. electronic component industry and information industry) will increase energy consumption since these two ICT industries focus more

    on the ICT production, which need to use lots of energy for production. While, more of the production values of the computer, electronic products, optical products manufacturing, and the telecommunications industry would decrease the energy consumption since the production increase of these industries would enhance more energy conservation activities. Finally, most prices of energy have negative impacts on the industrial energy consumption. This empirical result implies that the industrial sector will use less energy when confronting a higher energy price.

    From this study, it is known that some ICT industries can reduce the energy consumption in efficacy, especially for the computer, electronic products, optical products manufacturing, and the telecommunications industry. More production value of these ICT industries will help the energy consumption cut. It is suggested that the Government should put more effort to capture the contribution of energy conservation and carbon cut from these industry and try to extend their contribution.
