The first one describes the background to the shift of the EU’s trade arrangements towards a more active use of FTAs under the multilateralism of WTO. The second part presents an account of EU trade policy with the new Lisbon Treaty and implications of the treaty on institutional balance of EU policy. After that, the third section analyzes the background and major issues of the negotiation for EU-Central America FTA. And by knowing the economic impact of EU- Central America FTA, to evaluate its influence in the relations of EU - Latin America.
