摘要: Modern foreign language teaching and the way of learning a foreign language are quite different than before. The former has evolved from solely textbook-based instructions to the current more effective teaching with the help of audio and video resources. These multimedia tools provide instructors with richer as well as more lively classroom environments. Consequently, the students, being exposed to better and more colorful environments, can easily absorb the essence of foreign culture and learn foreign languages and cultures more efficiently.
As a result of the popularization and advancement of computer technology, the internet has become a major convenient tool for information hunting and for learning foreign languages. However, for their conversation classes the instructors should investigate how to properly select and use multimedia materials which can reinforce students’ motivation and hence improve the efficiency and quality of learning.
