Introduction: 本所特色：1.擴展漢學研究：深化漢語文化學、文獻學之研究；2.著重領域整合：豐富語言、文獻之文化論述；3.培養實務人才 ：採集調查當代漢語、整理編纂歷代文獻。為因應教育部｢獨立所需有七位專任教師｣之規定，本所奉示自98學年度停招，本所之特色整併於中文碩士班，中文系碩士班分為文學組、語言文化組兩組，自98學年度招生。
