Firms rely on innovations to achieve and sustain competitive advantages in ever-changing markets. Many firms are facing a threat of being replaced by competitors, and realize that innovating new products is an important way to differentiate and get ahead on competitors. So continually innovating is the one and only way for firms to achieve and sustain competitive advantages. Recently, the appearance of cloud computing technique, it can assist firms in reducing operation budget and promoting efficiency, and can make a profit. Through cloud collaborative platform, it can shorten data transmission hours in process of developing new products, and accelerate new products’ rate of progress.
This study investigated the effect of cloud collaborative platform on new product performance, and further explored the role of the overall process by questionnaire. And this study used data analysis including sample data analysis, descriptive statistic analysis, factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results of this study show that：(1)cloud collaborative platform related to new product performance, (2) cloud collaborative platform related to cross department integration, (3) cross department integration related to new product performance, (4) cloud collaborative platform related to innovation ability, (5) innovation ability related to new product performance, (6)customer relationship management has confounding effect between innovation ability and new product performance.
