本文透過美國公共圖書館之借閱政策，來探討公共圖書館提供電子書閱讀器之借閱服務，以提供臺灣公共圖書館在推動該服務時作為參考。本研究之研究對象為13所美國地區公共圖書館，藉由圖書館網站所公開之網頁中獲取借閱政策，透過內容分析法分析比較。研究結果指出電子書閱讀器借閱服務在美國公共圖書館之發展已具規模，借閱政策規範完備且面面俱到。本研究透過美國圖書館經驗，將有助於臺灣圖書館提供相關服務時作為參考依據。 The aim of this paper is to examine current loan policies of e-book readers in public libraries in the United States. Data was collected from the websites of 13 public libraries. Content analysis was used to examine the web pages of loan policies. The results suggested that lending services and related polices of e-book readers in public libraries in the U.S. are thorough, detailed, and extensive in a number of aspects. By examining the literature and the lending polices of public libraries in the U.S., the results of the analysis can provide experience for making loan policies of e-book readers in public libraries in Taiwan.
