本論文以行為主體的特徵及「-temoii」所使用之句子類型的觀點，來探討分析表示未實現事象的「-temoii」的句意。首先，本論文先探討表示行為的「-temoii」，得知動詞所表示之行為主體除了說話者及聽者之外，還包含了說話者及聽者之外的特定對象及非特定對象。而經由本論文的深入探討之後，得知在「-temoii」的句意方面，除了先行研究中所指出的〈許可〉、〈容許〉之外，還可用來表示〈為了自己的意圖〉、〈為了他人的意圖〉、〈請託〉、〈建議〉、〈客觀的可能〉等意思。而會產生如此多樣化的句意，乃起因於說話者及行為主體的關係，以及「-temoii」所使用的句型是平述句型或是疑問句型等因素。另一方面，經由本論文的考察結果得知，「-temoii」不只用來表示行為，還可用來表示狀態，而由於狀態主體無法自主性地控制動詞所表示的事象，因此表示狀態的「-temoii」只能用來表示〈容許〉。
This paper describes the meaning of ”-temoii” that express unrealized events in modern Japanese. The viewpoint of this paper is the characteristic of agent and the type of sentences used in ”-temoii”. The conclusions are as follows. (1) The agents of the actions that expressed by ”-temoii” are not only speaker and listener, but also including outsider and indefinite agents.(2) The meaning of ”-temoii” which expresses actions can be classified as [permission], [admit], [intention for oneself], [intention for otherone], [request], [advice], and [objective potentiality].(3) The meaning of ”-temoii” which expresses state can be classified as [admit].(4) The reason why ” -temoii” have various meanings results from the realionship between agent and speaker, and the type of senence that used in ”-temoii”.
