Abstract: In wireless heterogeneous environments, the integration of a wireless access network is accomplished by seamless handovers, a goal that includes many challenges, i.e., service mobility, vertical handover, common authentication, unified accounting/billing, security mechanisms, QoS and service provisioning. Our research aims to provide a complete integration of heterogeneous network architectures and to support mobility management for networks, resulting in seamless handovers. This paper offers a HIP-based vertical handover scheme that uses MIH in heterogeneous wireless networks. We focus on the simulation of vertical handover executions for different scenarios. Our idea can modify some defects of Mobile IP and SIP. Moreover, it always provides internet users with the best connection. Moreover, we hope to extend our research to beyond 4G (B4G) wireless networks.
