Values of A are determined for which there exist positive solutions of the second order differential equation on a measure chain, u△△(t)+λα(t)ƒ(u(σ(t))) = 0, t E [0,1], satisfying either the conjugate boundary conditions, u(O) = u△(σ(l)) = 0, or the right focal boundary conditions, u(O) = u△(σ(l)) = 0, where α and ƒ are positive valued, and both limx→o+x and limx→∞x exist .
