    Abstract: 廖玉蕙與龍應台同為誕生於五○年代的女性散文家,並皆於八○年代踏入文壇,在她們的作品版圖中,以社會關懷為基調的篇章,始終是兩人筆耕不輟的一畝園地;據哈伯瑪斯的文學公共領域的觀念來看,兩位作家在寫作歷程中,始終不懈於透過報紙專欄發表對社會萬象的關懷、批判,企圖引起社會大眾的關注,進而使兩性、教育、社會或政治的時弊得以被揭露,可謂將文學的影響力延伸至公共領域,並分別在文化政策、語文教育決策的政治公共領域產生具體的影響。
    本文的研究目的,首先即在於釐析兩位同世代女作家散文中共同關懷的議題,包括對兩性關係、教育問題、社會時弊及政治現象的針砭,以呈顯廖玉蕙及龍應台的散文對社會脈動的關懷及呼應;其次,則透過比較兩位女作家的書寫議題、立意、筆法、風格等,呈顯女性社會關懷散文的兩種書寫面貌。
    The purpose of this study, first of all is to clarify the common care issues of Liao Yu-Huei and Lung Ying-Tai’s social care essays, including gender relations, education, social ills and political phenomenon and commented on.
    Secondly, through the comparison of two women writers writing topics, purposive, strokes, style, showing the two kinds of significant of female social care prose.
