1998-09 A computer program DBFWD is developed for data analysis of Falling Weight Deflectometer test on flexible pavements. To backcalculate the layer moduli of the pavement, numerous iterative backcalculation schemes are employed with the forward analysis of the Green's flexibility influence functions. Deflections from different numbers of receivers are checked for the prediction. The iterative scheme based on deflection ratio is selected. Interpretations from the deflections at the inner four receivers with high initial trial values of the material moduli give better accuracy. Comparisons of the programs on theoretical and experimental deflections indicate that the dynamic interpretation can provide more adequate solution to the test. Chang, Der-Wen; Chang, Chia-Ling
