    摘要: 族群經濟與社會回匯：台商製造業的遷徙與中國中西部開發 晚近廣東珠三角經營環境的結構變遷，迫使從事傳統製造業台商需面臨經營 轉型的問題。與此同時，大陸中央為平衡東西部發展的差距，提出許多新建設計 畫，而有「西部大開發」與「中部崛起」。相應於此趨勢下，許多傳統勞力密集型產 業台商，出現遷移前往內陸地區投資的新型態。 然而多數勞力密集型製造業台商在中國大陸的生產，還是以出口外銷為主，究 竟遷廠前往內陸城市，台商企業必須要如何重新結合資源，以維繫企業在跨界空間 中的持續發展？以及，跟隨產業遷移，也將影響龐大中國大陸人口的打工遷徙路 線，對曾經在沿海工作的人口，回到家鄉工作後，究竟對其原鄉社區產生了怎樣的 影響？這些問題目前仍缺乏體系性的研究。本研究嘗試運用族群經濟（ethnic economies）與社會回匯（social remittances）兩個概念，來探討傳統勞力密集產業台 商的內陸遷移發展，及其對地方社會產生的影響。 上述問題的回答，有助於理解企業內陸城市遷移後台商工廠中的勞動關係的改 變、台商在新遷移地中的在地適應轉變，以及大規模農民工回流後產生新型態的在 地社會關係，藉由台商遷移研究理解當代中國社會轉型。
    Ethnic Economies and Social Remittances: The Movement of Taiwanese Manufacturing Firms in the Development of Inner China Many Taiwanese manufacturing businesses, after twenty years of development in China, are facing the problem of transformation, particularly in terms of the change of social-economic environment in the Pearl River Delta area. However, the development in the inner China during recent years provides new chances to these manufacturing businesses. Some Taiwanese manufacturing firms have taken this advantage and moved to the western and central areas of China. This research project follows this new trend and investigates the local influences of Taiwanese firms after their movement to the inner China. Two research questions will be addressed: 1) How Taiwanese manufacturing firms utilize diverse resources to maintain their ongoing development in a new environment and 2) How a new relationship is created among the Taiwanese business owner, Taiwanese managers and local Chinese employees (both with and without work experiences in the costal areas)? By using two theoretical concepts “ethnic economies” and “social remittances” this research tries to analyze this new phenomena and the development of Taiwanese manufacturing firms in inner China.
