本計畫擬從中井竹山的思想研究、及竹山與近世日本知識人之文化交流的兩個面向來進行研究。在中井竹山的思想研究方面,針對竹山眾多尚未面世的經學著作,進行資料收集、分析等工作。在竹山與近世日本知識人之文化交流方面,以竹山反覆書信往來,或是曾遊於竹山之門,與竹山有積極往來關係的知識人為主要研究對象,分析彼此學問討論的內容和意義。並且,探討竹山學或懷德堂的學風在大坂以外之地發展的情形。本計畫擬以學界有關懷德堂之豐碩的先行研究、與筆者對中井竹山的禮學思想實踐之研究為基礎,進行深入的研究。擬以二年的時間,完成下列四項問題意識之探討。 1. 仔細分析竹山《禮斷》的禮說並探討其與《草茅危言》之間的關係。並且,探討竹山的禮說與履軒之間的異同。 2. 分析竹山《易斷》的內容、並探討本書與竹山其他著作之間的關連性。並且,探討竹山的易學思想與履軒《周易逢原》等之間的異同。 3. 及於竹山其他的經學著作,分析其經學思想的特色。 4. 分析竹山與其他知識人之間的往來書牘,探究其學問討論的內容,並探討這些知識人如何理解竹山的思想主張、以及對自身的思想有無產生什麼影響。 Nakai Chikuzan(1730-1804) and his brother Nakai Riken(1732-1817) have a lot of works on Confucian Classics. However, the studies on ritualism of the Kaitokudo and comparison on ritual study with other Japanese Confucian scholars are actually few. Although the academic community has some discussions on the ritual practice of the Kaitokudo, actually it lacks further inquiry into the relations of the ritual practice and its ritual thought. There is also much demand for studies on the mutual influence of the ritual thought of the Kaitokudo and the early modern Confucian communities in Japan. Therefore, this plan's importance lies in the organizing the ritual thought of the Kaitokudo to promote the studies of the Kaitokudo to achieve a higher level.
