    Abstract: 本研究以個人對於生活經驗的體驗與周遭環境的觀察為出發點,將周遭自然環境中紋理所透露出訊息運用於設計思考上-這些訊息包括自然紋理現象與生物的生成法則。經過分析後,以數位工具輔助設計,轉換為數位紋理,並由當中挑選出適合基地現況的紋理,做為後續設計發展的依據。本論文的架構主要分成四個部份,第一部份探討生活中的興趣與經驗,在身處的環境中找尋線索;並研究相關建築師以數位工具輔助設計的案例,從中發現這些案例對於當代建築概念的創新與手法之突破。

    第二部份將自然紋理的觀察,轉化成為數位紋理規則的模擬與前置操作,前置操作由金山海灘環境中擷取出六種不同的自然紋理與生成法則,以大量的照片分析做為後續設計資料庫,經過歸納後轉化為數位設計工具所能夠操作的基本形態,轉換成為數位紋理。操作過程著重於將自然紋理以簡單的幾何形態呈現,並推敲當中的訊息與規則。之後,將擷取出的紋理進行階段性操作,透過參數化設計的模擬討論自然力量對於紋理所造成的動態變化。

    第三部份將第二部份中的規則模擬與前置操作置入於基地內,試圖在真實尺度及環境條件的限制下,思考以數位設計工具輔助參數化設計的操作方式,對於基地產生回應,其中包括視覺紋理、行為紋理與結構紋理的轉化。試圖建立對於自然界的不同現象的理解,詮釋並發覺隱沒於時間變化中不可見的紋理與規則再現。最後,將本論文中的操作過程做整體性的歸納,討論六個設計的操作結果。並且藉由數位與參數化設計工具輔助設計的心得,探討數位時代的設計思考與發展方式,以及參數化設計後續發展的方向。
    This study was inspired by personal experience of life and observation of surroundings, applying the information revealed by the grain in natural environment to designing work. The information includes natural patterns and the rule of organism’s generation. After analysis, natural grain was converted, using digital design tools, into digital patterns, among which those that were suitable to site conditions was selected as basis for subsequent design and development. This research is divided into four parts. First part is the discussion of interests and experiences in daily life, looking for clues in the surrounding environments. In this part, cases related to architects’use of digital design tools were studied to identify breakthrough innovations and methods in the contemporary architecture.

    The second part is the observation of natural patterns which was converted into rules for pre-manipulation and computer simulation. In pre-manipulation stage, six different natural patterns and generation rules were extracted from the environment of Jinshan Beach. A large number of photos were analyzed to build a database for subsequent designs. Those data were later generalized and converted into basic patterns to be used by digital design tools and further transformed into digital patterns. Manipulations focused on the simple geometric presentation of natural patterns and the exploration of the underlying information and rules. The obtained patterns were later subject to staged manipulations to examine, through the simulation of parametric design, the influence of natural force on the dynamic change of patterns.

    In the third part, the pre-manipulation and the rules identified in the second part were applied to the site to explore the possible way of parametric design with digital design tools under the condition of life-size and actual environment. The responses of the site included the changes of visual, behavioral and structural patterns. An attempt was made to understand the different phenomena in the natural environment, and to discover and explain the re-emergence of the invisible patterns and the rules hidden in temporal change. In the end, the overall manipulation process of this study was summed up, and the results of the manipulations of the six designs were discussed. Also, the thinking and development of contemporary architectural design and the future of digital design were explored based on what we have learned from the use of digital parametric design tools in this research.
