    Abstract: 本研究以行動研究法的循環實作模式,將研究團隊於數位典藏計畫所建構的台灣棒球數位典藏子系統,利用虛擬機器軟體的機制將系統及資料作整合,除了能使系統有更多元的管理方式,虛擬機器將系統虛擬化的同時也可建置異地備援的服務。本研究實作分為兩部份,首先針對資圖系所網進行系統整合及虛擬機器的應用,對虛擬機器有進一步的了解及實作經驗,再將虛擬機器進階功能導入第二階段實作,探討應用後的成果並進行分析。

    本研究結論如下:
    一、伺服器整合後統一以Linux為作業系統對於管理更有效益。
    二、透過虛擬機器複製相同的作業系統環境,可免除重新編寫ASP程式碼。
    三、虛擬機器軟體的選擇需依照系統需求而定,例如經費、管理及安裝等面向。
    四、行動研究法同樣也可適用於需要不斷重覆檢視實作過程的資訊或系統管理。
    五、虛擬機器的資源負載平衡功能,有助於伺服器穩定運作。

    本研究建議如下:
    一、系統管理者應將伺服器功能作適當分配,以利於軟硬體的充份運用。
    二、系統管理者初期應用虛擬機器時,可先選用免費或試用的軟體,熟悉操作及虛擬機器架構後,再視個案判斷是否需購置功能較多的軟體。
    三、應用虛擬機器可使管理方式更多元,並具節省資源的效果,但需注意系統內部架構的複雜度。
    四、如資源足夠,建議直接以實體伺服器架設虛擬機器的控管平台,避免因虛擬化反而增加管理的難度。
    We use the mechanisms of virtual machine to integrate Taiwan baseball Digital Archives system by using action research cycle model. It can improve systems more manageable. Besides, virtual machine can remote establish remote backup service. We take two steps to conduce this study. In the first place, we integrate the web system and application for more understanding and implementation experience to virtual machine. Then, we import advanced features in second step and analysis the resolution.

    The conclusions are as follows:
    1.Taking Linux as operating system for more effective management after the systems of servers were unified.
    2.Keeping a duplicate of the same operating system, we don’t need to rewrite the ASP code.
    3.Choosing virtual machine software needs to be determined in system requirement, such as budget, management and installation.
    4.Action research is also applicable for information or system management.
    5.The load Balancing function of Virtual machine can stabilize the server.

    Research recommendations are as follows:
    1.In order to fully utilizing H/W resources, system administrators should allocate server functions.
    2.Depending on requirement, system administrators can use free/trial virtual machine software or purchase powerful virtual machine software.
    3.To avoid the system becoming more complexity when we use virtual machine software.
    4.Because of the difficulty of management. We recommend physical servers rather than virtual machine if our resource is sufficient.
