    Abstract: In the information age, news broadcasting is no longer restricted to the traditional media such as newspaper, radio, and television. Currently, electronic newsletter (e-newsletter) has become a new medium to distribute news via email (Newsletter, 2010). With e-newsletters, people can easily learn the latest information on the Internet. In addition, as Krajka (2000) stated, English news broadcasted online opened many new possibilities to English education. Both English learners and teachers can be benefited from the authentic materials. In order to explore the effects of e-newsletters on university students’ journalistic English learning, an eight-week e-newsletter project was implemented in university journalistic English courses.
    The study aims to examine the subject students’ journalistic learning achievement by using e-newsletters and their responses to the e-newsletters project. First, the students’ learning outcomes were quantitatively analyzed by the pre- and post-test of journalistic English. Second, the qualitative data will be collected from the students’ responses to using e-newsletters in learning journalistic English and their feedback on composing a group e-newsletter project. It is hoped that the results of this study may contribute to the understanding of the effects of e-newsletters on students’ journalistic English learning.
