Introduction: 因應國際學術潮流以及國內實際需求，培育教育政策與行政領導之專業人才於2000年8月成立。2002年8月成立碩士在職專班，以落實高等教育回流教育之理想。本所以培育各類教育政策與行政領導之研究、實務的專業人才為目標，並注重品格涵養為目標。由於師資多具備豐富的教育決策與行政領導資歷，因此教學兼顧學理啟迪與實務引導，並提供各界教育實務諮詢服務。97學年度高等教育研究所整併至教育政策與領導研究所，並分設兩組：「教育經營與管理組」及「高等教育組」。

The Graduate Institute of Educational Policy and Leadership was founded in August 2000 with a Master of Education program. Since then, the Institute has been committed to the training of educational policy, administration and management professionals. To promote recurrent education and lifelong learning, a Master’s professional training program was established in August 2002. To enrich the Institute’s curriculum and training of professionals, the Institute merged with the Graduate Institute of Higher Education in August 2008. The Institute now offers two specializations: (1) education management and administration; and (2) higher education
