The authors present a scheme where real-time video data can be transmitted in an integrated service local-area network which provides multiple services, multiple channels, and multiple trains. A buffer insertion scheme with a random access protocol and a dynamic priority control scheme guarantee that the real-time data are transmitted within a certain amount of delay. Multiple transmissions can take place simultaneously. A priority control scheme ensures that the most urgent real-time video data are served first among the multiple services.
