Abstract:	本計畫乃欲發展一套軟體測試方法(Software testing)及演算法,用來測試以物件導向程式設計技巧(Object-oriented programmingtechnique)所發展之軟體及資料庫系統 (OODB).鑑於物件導向程式設計技巧近年來已被廣泛地用來發展大型軟體系統 ,它不但提昇了"軟體的再用性"(Software reusability ),更降低了軟體發展成本.其中遺傳機構 ( Inheritance mechanism)是整個物件導向程式設計的核心.但是,不當的使用遺傳機構卻易造成重複遺傳或函數功能衝突等二種不易偵測的軟體錯誤.由於傳統的軟體測試方法均是以程式導向語言(Procedure-oriented language)所發展出來的;因此很難去找出這兩類的軟體錯誤.所以,發展一套軟體測試方法用來測試這兩類以物件導向程式設計之軟體錯誤,實是有其必要性.本計畫之另一項研究重點乃是研發一套Software metric,用來衡量物件導向軟體複雜度 (Softwarecomplexity).因為一個軟體系統的好與壞,往往取決於該軟體系統的複雜度.如果能精確地事先衡量出該軟體複雜度,則有助於指引出軟體測試的指標.
