Abstract: A test is presented for testing equality of two multivariate populations versus the alternative that the component wise differences between the two populations are ordered. A bootstrap estimate of the variance of the test statistic is proposed and the limiting distribution of the standardized form of the test statistic is shown to be N(0,1). Methods for conducting two-stage tests and an interim analysis are also presented. The joint null limiting distributions for the two-stage test statistics and the interim analysis test statistics are each shown to be bivariate normal.
