Abstract: This paper presents the analytic flexure hinge, involved in design optimization for a compliant mechanism, as a one‐piece member. Several objective functions simultaneously arise in optimization to enhance the magnification factor in improving the mechanism's performance. A compliant micro‐gripper, after pseudo‐rigid‐body model synthesis, is adopted in the paper to illustrate the present design process. The final design shows a noticeable improvement over the initial design in previous publications.
