    Abstract: 飛機失事的原因計有結構斷裂、機械失靈 、人為誤失及天候不良等。本文針對除人為因 素外之各種失事原因及美國近三十年來的失事 統計數字加以詳細討論,並介紹最新的災難防 治檢查方法。最近因飛機老舊而引起的失事亦 加以分析,且發現自1978年航空公司開放自由競 爭以來,並沒有失事率增加的現象。
