Introduction: 超過十年的縝密規劃與發展，淡江大學蘭陽校園於 2005 年春一舉達到教育部的嚴格審核標準，正式成為淡江大學於蘭陽地區之分校，並於同年秋得以招生。創業發展學院是蘭陽校園初期成立的兩個學院之一，本院於現階段成立三系：資訊軟體學系、資訊通訊科技管理學系、旅遊與旅館管理學系，三系皆以提供高品質的教學內容為最高宗旨。本院的三個學系皆以竭力發展企業家精神的使命為主要教學目標，期使學生能在 21 世紀的科技環境中成長並茁壯。99學年度起「創業發展學院」與「全球化研究與發展學院」整併成「全球創業發展學院」。

After more than ten years of planning and development, Tamkang University Lan-Yang Campus successfully passed the evaluation from the Ministry of Education in the spring of 2005. In the fall semester of the same year, the campus begins accepting students and officially becomes one of the campuses of Tamkang University. The College of Entrepreneurial Development is one of the first two colleges in Lan-Yang campus. The college contains now three departments: the Department of Software Engineering and the Department of Information and Communication Technology Management, and the Department of Tourism and Hospitality. All three departments are geared toward the development of entrepreneurial spirit which is the mission of the college.
