摘要:	There are many facets of university education -- learning, teaching, faculty, curriculum, and service, to name a few. Among those aspects, curriculum is the core, an area that has long been disregarded, however. With the arrival of knowledge-based economies, the cycle of knowledge is changing rapidly, resulting in the emergence of a learning revolution. Curriculum reform and innovation, as a result, is fast becoming a subject of great urgency in the age of information. As the definitions of curriculum are divergent, consensus is not easy to achieve on where reform has to start and how. On the other hand, since curriculum development itself is a highly complicated process, much research is necessary t to find out how to plan and evaluate, how to transcend the limitations of the scope of knowledge and stratification, how to bring in needs and comments from those involved in the system, and how to make the reform work. This article analyzes models of curriculum development, the development of university curriculum in Taiwan and its current status, and the praxis of university curriculum reform, with a view to attaining university curriculum reform.
