摘要: This study focuses on how to measure innovation in R&D manufacturing industries in Taiwan, and how to rank the industries according to innovation indices. After summarizing the recent literature and interviewing experts with relevant experience, the study identifies 22 indices to evaluate innovation, involving six evaluation criteria and two principal evaluation dimensions. The methodology, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), is discussed as it applies to innovation in each of several evaluation areas, including
products, procedures, member skills, promotion, organizational structure, and organizational climate. The study finds that the five most important innovation indices for R&D manufacturing industries are “Machine and Facility Function”, “The Ability to Develop New Skills”, “Number of Research Patents”, “Creative Ideas”, and “Unique Product Development”. A discussion of key research findings and suggestions for future research directions are also provided.
