本三年期計畫之主要目的是繼續研究波之傳遞現象。我們將特別著重於由生物、化學反 應、激活物抑制因子系統等產生的一些相關反應擴散系統。相關的例子有傳染病模型, 競爭系統,FitzHugh-Nagumo系統,自催化化學反應系統,等等。 我們將著重於研究行進鋒波、行進脈動波、行進點波、旋轉點波、螺旋波等解的存在性 與唯一性。 In this three-year-project, we shall continue our study on the wave propagation phenomena. Our main concerns shall be concentrated on the reaction-diffusion systems arising in biology, chemical reaction, activator-inhibitor systems, and so on. Examples are epidemic models, competition system, FitzHugh-Nagumo system, autocatalytic chemical reaction system, etc. We shall focus on the study of the existence and uniqueness of traveling waves (front and/or pulse type), traveling spots, rotating spots and spiral waves of these systems.
