    摘要: 本研究探討新竹市國民小學行政人員對少子化趨勢的壓力感受與因應策略,經以相關文獻探討為基礎,建立研究架構,並據以自編「新竹市國民小學行政人員對少子化趨勢的壓力感受與因應策略調查問卷」為工具,針對新竹市27所公立國民小學進行普查,共發出問卷350份,收回有效問卷313份,進行統計分析,獲致研究結論如下:
    一、新竹市國民小學行政人員對少子化趨勢的整體壓力感受程度為中高度, 其中以「學校教學」層面所感受的壓力最大。
    二、學校行政人員對少子化的整體壓力感受因現任職務、學校規模及學校規模變化型態之不同而有部分差異:(一)現任職務為主任及組長在整體壓力感受程度皆顯著高於校長;(二)中型學校的行政人員在整體壓力感受顯著高於小型及大型學校;(三)規模萎縮型學校的行政人員對少子化壓力感受高於規模穩定型學校;規模穩定型學校的行政人員感受又高於規模成長型。
    三、新竹市國民小學行政人員對少子化整體因應策略的同意程度屬中高度,其中對「校園環境規劃」策略的同意程度最高。
    四、學校行政人員對少子化整體因應策略的同意程度因性別、最高學歷及學校規模變化型態而有部分差異:(一)男性的行政人員在少子化整體因應策略同意程度高於女性的行政人員;(二)研究所畢業的行政人員在少子化整體因應策略同意程度高於大學畢業的行政人員;(三)規模萎縮型學校的行政人員在少子化整體因應策略同意程度高於規模成長型學校。
    This study investigated the stress from and coping strategies for declining birth rate perceived by elementary school administrators in Hsinchu City. The research framework was constructed based on previous literature, and a self-developed “Questionnaire on stress from and coping strategies for declining birth rate perceived by elementary school administrators in Hsinchu City” was used. The survey was administered to administrators in 27 public elementary schools in Hsinchu City. A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed, and 313 valid responses were obtained. The collected responses were statistically analyzed to derive the following conclusions:
    1.The overall stress level perceived by elementary school administrators in Hsinchu City was intermediate, and the stress from “school teaching” was highest for them.
    2.The elementary school administrators’ stress perceptions partly varied by their current position, school scale, and pattern of school scale change: (1) Directors and section chiefs perceived significantly higher overall stress from declining birth rate than the principal; (2) Administrators from mid-sized schools perceived significantly higher overall stress than those from small and large-sized schools; (3) Administrators from downsizing schools perceived significantly higher overall stress than those from stable schools, who also perceived significantly higher overall stress from those from upsizing schools.
    3.The elementary school administrators in Hsinchu City showed an intermediate level agreement with the coping strategies for declining birth rate. Among the various coping strategies, they more agreed with “campus environment planning”.
    4.The elementary school administrators’ agreement with overall coping strategies for declining birth rate partly varied by gender, education background, school scale, and pattern of school scale change: (1) Male administrators reported a higher overall agreement level than female ones; (2) Administrators with a master’s degree agreed more with the overall coping strategies than those with only a bachelor’s degree; (3) Administrators from downsizing schools showed a higher overall agreement level than those from upsizing schools.
