    Abstract: 資訊科技的進步在目前雖然沒有使得學術傳播的本質興起太大的變化，但卻讓傳播過程中的管道與資訊流動方向與以往大不相同。電子預行本及其伺服系統的出現即是一個顯著的例證，該機制讓學術社群中的成員在冗長的學術出版與不盡完美的審查制度中，找到另一個可行的出路。本文將從電子預行本的特質談起，並探討傳統與電子預行本在本質與傳播機制中的差異，並為電子預行本在學術出版流程中尋找定位。最後，分析學術傳播中主要的角色因電子預行本的出現所受到的影響。
