Potential applications of interactive videodisc instruction for education and training are inhibited by the high cost of video production and image acquisition in Taiwan. This paper examines the process of repurposing existing videodiscs for effective learning including planning, hardware concern, disc selection, principles of design, copyright issues, and suggestions for future local development.
