    Abstract: 本書共分為六章，第一章為緒論，除針對撰述背景進行說明外，並簡扼說明高等教育評鑑相關概念之內涵與不同學者之詮釋內容，進而釐清兩岸四地對高等教育品質保證或評鑑相關概念使用之中文名稱與術語。第二章開始至第五章則分別以台灣、中國大陸、香港與澳門四地為對象進行專章探討。每章均分為三小節，第一節以說明各該地區高等教育重要政策改革與發展現況為主，第二節說明各該地區高等教育評鑑制度發展與沿革，第三小節則針對其高等教育評鑑實施現況進行分析。最後，第六章則將嘗試就兩岸四地高等教育發展及高等教育評鑑制度與實施情況進行比較分析，並嘗試根據比較分析的結果，歸納提出可供台灣高等教育評鑑制度之啟示或借鏡。
