Because women''s status and independence have been raised, many affairs in a family, for example where the workplaces are, seem to be decided through the couple’s joint discussion. Hence, this paper will adopt the bivariate probit model, the binary logit model, and the multinomial logit model to examine, except common characters and one’s own characters, whether the mate’s characters affect the distance between workplace and residential location. The main results of empirical study reveal that the interaction within a couple does exist in the process of choosing workplace, although the way to decide the husband’s workplace isn’t the same as the way to decide the wife’s workplace.
