The purpose of how do secondary school students recognize physical activities?Sponsored by: Taipei County/New Taipei Subject: Physical Education. The main method used in this research is based on questionnaires surveys. Questionnaire’’ is structured accord to the predictive results. The subjects of interest are high school students. The stratified sampling method is used. A total of 450 surveys had been given out and were all returned. Only 367 of them are valid surveys. The average returned rate is 100%, and the validity rate is 81.55%. SPSS for Window 12.0 software has been mainly used for part of the data processing. The software enables several data statistical methods such as t-test, mean calculation, standard deviation calculation and One-Way ANOVA analysis. The major research findings were concluded from the study, including: 1.According to the result of the report, female students are more willing to acknowledge physical activities than male students. 2.Since students have different genders and BMIs and have different grades and schools, they respond to physical activities differently. 3. The students believe that physical activities are beneficial of increasing metabolism rate but rather decreasing learning efficiency. 4.Most of the students believe that lack of time, but have more sport interesting, mostly contribute the obstacle to exercising. 5.Secondary school students’ understandings of physical activities are in full agreement and not affected by their different genders, grades, schools and BMIs.
