This thesis reviews significant growing experiences and stories of life with the method of self-narrative. Through the autobiographical style of writing, the researcher reviews, reflects on, realizes and gives meaning to his own life by using the theory of resilience as the main axis.

The purpose of the thesis is to deconstruct and reconstruct the seemingly broken life stories, the affection caused by the people, events and things in the story, and the process of how one experiences the resilience.

This thesis includes three parts. The first part includes the interviews made by others about the researcher’s life stories and viewpoints. The second part is about the re-narration of the stories of the researcher and other significant persons, and the affection caused by the interaction between them. The third part is about the reflection on and final settling of the resilience taking place in life events.
