简介：資訊中心係淡江大學創辦人張建邦博士於1968年8月在淡江文理學院院長任內所創設。當時稱之為電子計算館，為全國各級學校中最早設立之電腦單位。1980年8月更名為資訊中心，並將電腦科技應用於教育行政、教學、研究、服務工作上，為國內大學資訊化的先驅。2011年8月更名為資訊處。

The Information Processing Center was initiated by Dr. Clement C.P. Chang, Founder of Tamkang University, in August, 1968, when Dr. Chang was President of Tamkang College of Arts and Sciences. The Center, which was called Computer Science and Building at that time, was the first computer institution ever established among all levels of academic institutions in Taiwan. In August, 1980, the computer institution was renamed the Information Processing Center.
