简介：在國際社會全球化的影響之下，觀光專業人員除具備基本專業知識外，更需要外語能力與來自世界各地旅客溝通，同時具備國際視野了解到各種不同文化背景旅客的行為與需求。本系秉承本校推行多年三化政策：國際化、未來化、資訊化為基礎，並結合蘭陽校園獨特全人教育、英語教學、大三出國政策，傳授旅遊及旅館事業經營管理所需之相關專業知識。根據此教育目標，本系辦學特色為加強學生外語能力與國際經驗。此特點為全台灣唯一觀光相關學系提供學生英語教學環境，同時規定學生必須出國修習學分一年以拓展學生的國際視野。此項特色更是本系與其他國內觀光相關學系相較，最大不同之處與優勢。原屬「創業發展學院」99學年度改隸屬「全球創業發展學院」。並於100學年度更名為「國際觀光管理學系」。

This department will deliver professionalism on managing valuable business on tourism and hospitality. Come along with the abundant resources of the Yilan county, our students will be expected to accept practical on-site trainings for entering into the related business. We will also emphasis on the acquisition of advanced modern concepts and the merits of operating the business creatively for the current trend of knowledge economics. It is believed that our students will be capable of managing the business with globalized view and excellent personality.
