Abstract: This paper proposes a method for determining the qualities of answers with respect to the query in fuzzy relational databases. Imprecise information can be represented logically by fuzzy disjunctive information handled in an extended fuzzy relational model. Two kinds of supplemental measurements are employed for matching information and complementing information, in order to measure the quality of answers to the associated queries. The complementing information can be considered as a measure of the required information for a possible answer to be a sure answer with respect to a query. The proposed method is found useful to resolve the query evaluation problems in fuzzy relational database and measuring uncertainty by Entropy information. Accordingly, the quality of a possible answer is higher in the case where less complementing information is required.
