Introduction: 本報創設於民國42年，原名英專週報，陳維綸先生為第一任發行人，當年擔任院長的張建邦先生任第一任社長，其後曾改名淡江週報、淡江週刊，直到民國78年才改名為淡江時報，至今已有五十餘年的歷史。英專週報(民國42~46年）英文報COLLEGE ECHO（民國42~68年）淡江週報(民國46~48年)淡江週刊(民國48~78年）淡江時報(民國78年迄今) 強化校園活動報導、增進師生員工情誼、加強校友家長連繫、提升學術研究風氣、發揚淡江文化精神。
